After a grueling work-out our members, with sweaty faces and trembling lips, humbly thank us for pushing them to the maximum exertion throughout the class. We should be thanking them. Of course we do at KB Fitness.

I find this fascinating as a fitness professional. The impact that we have on our members daily lives that they want to thank us for making them moan, shake, burn, hang upside down, bend over backwards, push a 50# sled across the floor, just to name a few. The time they take away from their jobs, family and friends to put themselves through this torture. AND then thank us for it. Amazing.

So for all of you reading this and continue to attend our classes and subject your bodies through this WONDERFUL variety of physical challenges. I not only thank you, but I am honored to have you part of the KB Fitness family. Sweat on!!

I have had the wonderful pleasure of getting involved with a brand new piece of exercise equipment “The Fitness Trampoline” by Jump Sport.  When Jump Sport first contacted me about helping out with this new venture, I was skeptical to say the least.  “Rebounders” or “mini-trampolines” never seemed to do much in terms of giving a good work-out.  They were stiff and hard to jump on.  Very limiting in what type of exercises that could be completed.  My first bounce on The Fitness Trampoline, I was SOLD!!

Because Jump Sport didn’t use springs, you get a soft – but powerful bounce.  Definitely need to have good core strength to “stick” your landing.  You actually have to work at your landing and resist against the propulsion of the trampoline.

It’s also extremely quiet.  Unlike a treadmill or other piece of cardio equipment there is some noise from the apparatus.  There is virtually no sound from The Fitness Trampoline.  This is because Jump Sport used cords instead of springs.  It doesn’t squeak or creek.  The mat part of The Fitness Trampoline is also a soft fabric.  Which also lends to the soft landing.

The Fitness Trampoline doesn’t take up a lot of space either.  It’s the perfect size for any room.  You can stand it upright in a corner, hang it on a wall with brackets or store it in a closet.  If you have more than one, which I recommend, you can stack them on top of one another.

I’ve had the pleasure to complete 4 dvd work-outs.  There is a beginning work-out that is included when you purchase The Fitness Trampoline.  It provides a 15 minute cardio work-out and a 15 minutes strength training work-out.  Our latest dvd is a 25 minute extreme “Cardio” work-out.  It’s a great dvd.  There is also 10 minute full body “Strength” training work-out.  You will build muscle and increase your metabolism with this work-out.  The 4th dvd my favorite, the “Abdominal/Core” training work-out.  Wow – your ab’s will be on FIRE after this work-out.  You’ll love the results from all of these dvd work-outs.  They are all available on the web-site, www.TheFitnessTrampoline.com.

Lastly, and most important, The Fitness Trampoline is FUN~~  Every class I’ve taught and practically everyone who jumps on it (no pun intended) immediately begins to smile.  This is a piece of exercise equipment people will actually use and not hang their clothes on it.  There’s no set up, just get up and begin jogging.  In as little as 10 minutes you will have gotten a fantastic work-out.  No need to get on a treadmill and run for 30 minutes with The Fitness Trampoline.  I guarantee if you do 10-15 minutes 2-3 times per day – you will definitely reduce body fat, improve your heart rate and lung capacity and have more energy throughout your day.

I am so impressed with Jump Sport and The Fitness Trampoline and am proud to be representing them as their fitness professional.  We’ll be bringing more work-outs to you soon!!

Tonight Danny lead an amazing cardio bootcamp class that consisted of outside sprinting, push-up drills moving across the floor on our elbows and then coming up on our hands onto to a step and then back down onto our elbows again.  Brutal.

What I love about Captain Danny’s, as we dearly call him, cardio bootcamp class is that he pushes everyone to their own limits, modifying exercises when needed.  So everyone feels success throughout the drills.

What I also love about cardio bootcamp is that you burn calories.  In an hour class one typically burns a minimum of 450 calories.  Much more fun than running on a treadmill for 45 minutes.  Not to mention that you also get the added bonus of strength and endurance training throughout this work-out.  One of our members tonight said he twisted his ankle this past weekend carrying a desk up a hill.  He didn’t fall and wasn’t injured at all.  Gotta love that~~

Overall it was a great night and great work-out.  If anyone has taken a cardio bootcamp class lately, tell me what you liked or disliked about it.  I would love to hear~!~
